You may not have the approval of someone “important,” but focus on winning the favour of God instead.
How do you do that? By being a person of excellence, by having an attitude of faith, by blessing your enemies, by being good to people, and enjoying that which God has planted you in the world for. When you do that, you curry favour with the creator. He will fight your battles. God will bring you those divine connections: people who celebrate you and cheer you on.
Often times, I see people going against their God-given conscience just because they must please someone and flow with him or her. We often go against our conscience and principles just because we want to be loved and accepted. The world won’t be a better place until we learn to say what we mean and mean what we say. I don’t need anybody’s favour to get to the top because I know that when my time comes, I shall be there. Because I know this, I speak to please my conscience and God at all times. You can hate me or like me, it’s not as important as God’s love for me.
When a man’s way pleases the Lord, He makes his or her enemies to be at peace with him. I have seen God use one’s enemies for his promotion. At the initial stage, they always feel its working against you, but just like Joseph who was sold and imprisoned in Egypt, they will come and bow before you for survival. You don’t need to give in pressure and accept that which you stand against just because you want to be relevant or accepted. Man’s approval is not always important. All you need is God’s approval.
Your promotions comes from the Almighty God and He will always use your enemies to take you to your place in destiny. On their way to the promised land, Israel had many nations, all the “-ites”, confront them. They thought they were fighting Israel when in the actual sense, they were pushing them closer to destiny. God has His own special way of using your enemies to push you into your place. Endure the hardship and attacks like a true soldier of Christ. Don’t relent, if you fail in the day of adversity your strength is small. Keep standing and take advantage of their hatred. Gather all the stones they throw at you and use it to build a mighty edifice to the glory of God.
Remember, never try to please man; please God and your conscience. The Onu way to be happy in life is by making sure no man takes glory in your life. God will always use fellow humans to bless you but please try not to be held to ransom by a fellow man. Don’t go out of your way to seek help. If that man or woman wants to help you, it will come. You don’t have to start living or talking the way he wants you to just because you want some favour from him.
My prayer for you: May God not allow you to have that blessing that will take your pride and freedom away from you in Jesus name. Amen.
