My name is Chioma Nnaji I was formerly Chioma Obuaku. I am from Aninri, Nigeria. I am a Business advisor. My husband, Iwuchukwu Samuel Nnaji is the CEO of Sipon Couture.
Samuel and I met in 2011 at the Word of faith Bible Institute church in Abuja whilst we were in a group together as bible students. We became friends and were soon engaged.
Our traditional marriage took place in April 2012 and our White wedding followed in October.
As for married life, put God first in your marriage. Remember to be prayerful. Be submissive too and show respect to your spouse. Be protective of your marriage, avoid third party meddling in.
Don’t stop looking good for him. That you are married does not mean that you stop making the extra effort to look good.
Although it is healthy to disagree in relationships, try to avoid arguments as much as you can. That leads me to denial in marriage. Don’t ever deny your husband sex because you are angry.
Make sure you cook well for for him so he never goes out to look for what he doesn't have.
Never speak ill about his family as that is something that he will remember after all is said and done.
Remember that “wisdom is profitable to direct”.
There is a lot of food for thought in this advise. Thank you for sharing with us Chioma. I am sure that many brides to be will take away positively from your new experience of married life. Wishing you and your many happy and blessed years ahead!
