'Man of The Week is a celebration of the good African man. A man who works hard to be a provider and upholds strong values and principles.'
My name is Dare Lawanson and I'm a Nigerian. I am from Lawanson, Surulere in Lagos.
I am the third child in my family. I have four sisters and I am the only boy.
I am currently studying IT but I have my heart set on business in the future. I am working on setting up my own business as I love the idea of being independent and I am inspired by my dad’s own actions of being his own boss.

To me working in an office just gives change every month, the big money is in starting your own business. My dad who owned petrol stations, properties and a various range of businesses an I saw how independent that made him. I would like that for myself too.
There are many women around but no man wants to be with one that he can’t trust. So trust is very important to me.
I would like to settle with someone I feel comfortable with. Someone I can take anywhere not minding if the place is not up to standards.
Couldn't agree more with Dare about working hard to become independent. Can I just add that Dare is one of the nicest guys I've feature on this site and very deserving of the 'Man of the week' title. African Sweetheart wishes you the very best Dare!
If you know someone who fits our man of the week description please email African Sweetheart to celebrate him. Contact us on msgafricansweetheart@gmail.com. Thank you.
